JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people and want to work on a mission that truly makes an impact? We are now looking for an engaged social worker for our department for Joint Authority for Children and Youth. Here, you will be part of a competent and caring team of eight social workers who support each other in everyday life.

As a social worker with us, you will have an important societal mission where you work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues. Your tasks include, among others:

• Conducting preliminary assessments and investigations according to SoL
• Handling cases according to SoL, LVU, and LSBS
• Providing advice and professional support to children, youth, and their families
• Collaborating with internal and external actors for the child's best
• The work mainly takes place on weekdays during the day, and you work according to a flexible working hours agreement.

• express yourself clearly and respectfully in both speech and writing

In this role, you will meet people in vulnerable life situations, which can sometimes be emotionally demanding. The workload varies over time, but you work in an organization that values a good working environment.

In meetings where decisions are not always well received, there may be a risk of threats and violence. We always work with clear routines and preventive measures to ensure that you feel safe in your mission. As a newly hired social worker, you will participate in an introductory program and be assigned a mentor. The group has external supervision and access to support from management and operational coordinators.

QUALIFICATIONS

A degree in social work or other relevant education approved by the National Board of Health and Welfare is required.

A valid driver's license (B) is required.

Experience working as a social worker with both children, families, and adults is considered an asset.
